PARTICULARS

This popular tour of the Historic C&O Canal is an annual event conducted as a fundraiser for the SanMar Children's Home. Participants pay a $35 registration fee ($55 after July 1) and then raise at least $450 in pledges. For those participating for only the weekend the minimum pledge amount is only $400. For those exceeding the $450 limit incentives are awarded as follows for funds turned in prior to September 1:

Golden Retriever Plan plus a new bike or an Ipod. (Funds must be turned in prior to the tour for the Golden Retriever Plan).

For those raising at least $450 ($400 for the weekend only) a TGBT T shirt and patch plus participation in the Tour, including: invitation to the CARBO PARTY preceding the tour, all meals and rest stops, transportation to Cumberland, transportation back to San Mar at the end of the event, camp fees, hotel fees on the third night, sag service, and some incredible memories for the rest of your life! Prizes must be claimed by December 31 or forfeited.

A "Dog Team" Production!

Several years ago in the heat of the Dog Days of Summer participants determined that everyone who completed the tour would become a member of "The Dog Team". Since that time numerous individuals have smiled at the summer camp type of foolishness of such a concept only to find themselves searching for a proper nickname as they near the close of the event.
